Get a RAM Mount with a suction cup. Have one in my D2 mounted to the windscreen. Doesn't impede my view at all - although I am tall 6'2".
Used offroad and is great quality

 iPad mount for D4
		Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a good iPad mount for the front of a D4. Something that doesn't involve drilling holes and is easily removable when not required. If you have any pics that you can incl. brilliant.

I just bought a second Ram mount for a friend after he saw mine.
I bought it here.
Photo in my car. If you have an iPad Air you will need a more expensive adjustable mount as this type is not available yet.

I know it's too late. I have a Ram mount that secures via a malleable rod using the bolt for the passenger seat. The tablet is therefore lower and obstructs none of the windscreen. Mentioned as another option.
If you intend a lot of corrugated roads a bushie mate of mine steered me to the ram mount with three suction cups. Takes up a bit of windscreen real estate but it has only fallen off once despite some pretty rough roads.
Did you use the "standard" length arm - 95mm - or did you have to get the 153mm version...?
cheers
I use a ram Mount as well but opted to remove the cover just ahead of the screen in the dash. Under this cover is a screw you can secure a ram Mount to I used an additional screw tapped into the plastic under the cover. This setup obscures the factory screen and is a little unsightly without the trim in place, but is reversible. I find this very secure and it does not obstruct my view. I havea 10 inch tablet mounted like this. I find yhe factory screen of little use as mine only tells me the radio station which only needs to be changed each time I service the car!
