    Which Seats - New Defender

I'm in the process of ordering a new 110 Defender Wagon. I am unsure on which seats to get. I want something that is going to be comfortable - something that will not fatigue my body. I drive a Nissan Navara at the moment and the seats are terrible with no lower lumbar support. Previously I had a 3 series BMW and the seats in that were great, you wouldn't feel stiff and ache after a long trip like I do now in the Navara.

Today I went to the dealer and sat in a 110 with the partial leather seats. They were quite comfortable. I've also looked at the Front Part Leather Premium Seats, they look like the image below.

Does anyone have the Front Part Leather Premium Seats and can they tell me about them? Or anyone know about them. Need to make my mind up ASAP so I can order this big red beast!

We do not have the premium seats in our 2013 Defender 90,....at the time or ordering, we were told that they were unavailable,....which didn't worry us, as we thought they were "too modern looking" for the interior of the Defender.
I think the standard seats are more practical, and better suit the interior of the Defender. We have the "standard" seats in half leather, and they are heated. We've just completed a 1500K trip, & actually found them to be very comfortable.
    Cheers, Pickles.

I usually get lower back issues from cars with poor seating (30 minutes in an excel gives me a weeks worth of pain - both physically and emotionally ).

I've not had any issues with the standard seats that came in my MY13 puma (I had a niggling issue with my old 2002 wrx - needed to lift the seat at the front by about half an inch... oddly with the equivalent sti I replaced it with I didn't have the sane issue).

Only thing I think would be good would be a longer seat base (ie more under leg support). Given they are detachable I'm considering seeing how much it is to get them modified.

I think ultimately the seats are quite comfortable and the seating position helps too.

The only other thing I have to add is: leather?? In a defender?

You may also want to consider scheel-mann seats - there are a few of us using them. They are the most comfortable seat I've ever had in a car.

The better the seat, the better off you will be.....

They not calling them premium for nothing !

My SVX has premium Recaro's standard and they are terrific.......even with the leather bolsters.

    Get the premium's

Couldn't agree more with Drover , the SVX Recaro's are fantastic. I just drove back from Melbourne in a 2012 Range Rover Vogue , apart from the rest of the defenders characteristic the seats are as comfortable if not more that the R/R .

Pretty sure I'll go with the Premium ones, the Recaro's, as tempting as they look, are out of my budget!!! Out bush they will have seat covers but I live in the heart of Sydney so the leather will be fine around the streets :-)

Can you order the premium SVX seats through LR Spares. Anyone have any idea what they cost, and are they full leather?
