    Question Help - What's this

I recently purchased a 1989 Perentie FFR (Hard Top). This was in the back. From what I can see it's metal (poss aluminium), about 2 inches diametre and 'bendy' (sorry for the technical description .

Does anyone know what it is?

G'Day Paul, welcome to the Perentie club.
If it is a 3metre spiral wound metal pipe, 60(ish)mm in dia, then it is an exhaust pipe extension allowing the vehicle to run and re-charge batteries without the operators dying of CO inhalation.
You can also direct the end into a small hole, this does an effective job of muffling the noise.
    Looks something like this?
