Brake switch is adjusted because the computer thinks you are braking, sending wrong messages to the gearbox - something like that.

I believe the logic is if you have your foot on the brake you don't need the accelerator so it interrupts the signal from the accelerator pedal. Not much fun if you are used to left foot braking!

The hesitation only seems to happen when I try to accelerate away from a round a bout or corner, causes a bit of heart thumping in heavy traffic I can tell you.
Yes. because your accelerating and computer thinks your braking at the some time. Gear box doesn't know what to do.

SubscriberI had a similar hesitation problem in my 2010 D4. It would only happen intermitantly. The dealer couldnt correct it. I read on here that brake switches can cause this. In the end i asked the dealer to replace the brake switch. Its been fine ever since.
I read a post here somewhere that there are two separate switches in the brake switch. One for the lights and one for the computer. It seemed that the brake light contacts could create some material that causes the computer switch to not work properly.
I have never pulled a switch appart to see if this could actualy happen.
In any case get the switch replaced . The switch costs $25.
