New 2014 TDV6 D4

Hi Guys, Whist I still enjoy my discovery 2 I decided to take a D4 for a test drive a few Saturdays ago.Wow what a machine and have one in my garage now.My friend with a D4D Prado says he can't believe how quiet and refined it is and makes his seem agricultural.The Alpaca cream leather is new and unmarked and I will be fussy with it for a while.Should I get it treated or sealed with a product or just wipe it over periodically?I hope the light leather will not be a nightmare to look after .

I have the tan coloured leather I use armour all leather wipes periodically I.e after a big trip and it seems to work a treat at keeping leather clean and fresh as usual test on a non visible surface first. I let my leather get very dirty when on a trip I think its one of the best surfaces for this.

I too went D2 to brand new D4 recently,AWESOME VEHICLE
Had a D1 owning member come and drive mine on the weekend.He too was blown away how good they are.
He thought he wanted to buy one,I belive he will buy one now

They are an amazing amazing car all it takes is one test drive and you just love them its hard to explain what it is just a whole combination there just a gorgeous machine, we love ours and came from a 150 Prado it was a big improvement over my father in laws 120 Prado. But the D4 is a great machine you will keep falling in love with it as i do haha. As for the light coloured leather i guess i wouldn't go for it because its hard to keep clean in my eyes but I'm not sure on all these products that claim to protect it and so forth i guess just give it a good wipe over with a chamois every time you wash it should be good.


As a good friend said to me "Everyone loves Disco some dont know it yet though" haha had a good laugh about it and thought its so true!

My D4 has black seats,but my last D2 had similar coloured leather as yours.
During the eight years i just regularly used a good quality leather treatment such as Autoglyn brand and it was fine.The marks that did appear came off easily.
Autoglyn also have a leather cleaner,but i didn't need it.

Mcguires is another good brand auto leather cleaner.

Don't get the cheap stuff,it is hopeless.

I have the black interior and have put light grey sheepskins on the front seats.

Never had leather chairs,now have 2 vehicles with them.
Had a good score with Autoglm polish the other day.Repco had 500ml bottles with fathers day on them out for $12.00,a litre of the same polish was $50 so I bought 2.Will look at their leather treatment.May throw the bottle we bought for the Territory(unused,cheap brand) and get some Autoglim.

I cant understand putting covers on leather seats,defeats the purpose of buying them.
Even in summer the black leather in the Territory is loverly to sit in,even if a bit hot when parked for a whilst in the sun(a towel fixes the issue,remove before sitting)
MANY people cover them up.
