After reading the same stories I got mine done through Barbagellos. Did a great job and can't fault it but cost more than it probably should have.

Wont help you in WA but whilst in Melb earlier in the year got my 110 done
at THE TINT PROFESSOR HQ at Pakenham for abt $375.

They did a great job, but had troubles with the alpine windows.. they were still done well.

    but:
    a) don't get it done on a trip so that you cant wind the windows down and then load wife and 3 kids after a day of junk food, into the car and drive for 8 hrs... That is a stop to open the doors each time someone "pops off"

    b) dont fall for the "it'll take 3 hrs" to do the car, if they havent done a defer before those alpines will hurt them (curved ends and concave surface!)

As I said doesnt help you, sorry, but may help someone!

I'd highly recommend Solarban in Bassendean. Jason does a great job, he's done most of my own vehicles. The last being our 2012 110 including the alpine windows which were done 'in vehicle'. I've used him for work as well, doing various shaped windows on all types of cranes, trucks, service vehicles and has always done a great job.

Use one of the main stream installers as they give a life time warranty against bubbling etc maybe Tint a Car or similar. I know I had the Disco Alpine windows re done in Kalgoorlie (cant remember who installed it). They are also supposed to honor this warranty at any branch, but keep your receipt.
Generally the car dealers like Barbagallos do not do themselves but send out to another company and then whack on another $100-$200 to the cost for the privilege of letting them do this. I know as good as they were in Kalgoorlie they did want a lot more than the actual installer, in 97 I think it was around $100 more.
