Has to be in park so it can open,i know,a PITA
Ok so the user manual doesn't explain too much on this but this is what we often experience.
1. Will unlock the car
2. Might open tailgate to put stuff in - close
3. Get in and start car
4. Wife will then come and go to open the tailgate and it wont open
5. Need to press the unlock button a couple of times.
So once the car is started does the tailgate lock? Or is there some trick to get it to open more easily?
thanks
Michael

Wont open the rear door whilst running I think????
Over the 2 press to unlock all too.Sometimes Im sure Ive double cliked unlock and Deb cant get in.Living in the country it isnt needed, however when visiting places like Royal Perth Hospital and the parking areas around there it well worth having, just in case.

To be clear, the double click unlock is user configurable.
The tailgate:
- will not open unless in park. You may still need to unlock the car once park is selected
- will re-lock when closed if the car was already locked and the tailgate open button on the fob was used to open the tailgate
- will lock (along with other doors) if the car has exceeded 8kph if the drive away locking feature is enabled(user selectable)
There may be other conditions when it (re)locks.
