    D3 battery replacement ( again)

Bond ultimate 693mf battery is my replacement main battery on my D3 (2005SE) but it is now looking sick today. Happy my dual battery set up gets me started

Quick look at Dr Google suggested a few but wondered what your thoughts are?
The Bond ultimate 693mf has lasted a few years but not as long as the original.

    Exiide suggest din88mf DIN88MF

    Bond ? 4WD and Off-Road Batteries

    marshal DIN88MF

Interesting Marshal and Exide both code din88mf

    Century Product

Charger on the old one now but assume I need a new one. If it was an alternator I guess both would be dead and after running it does start on the main battery for about 10 minutes before I need to kick it with the dual battery.

Prices are from 10 months ago.

An AGM will recharge quicker so good when drives are short, as well as surviving deeper and more frequent deep discharge. Expensive, but pretty much mandatory on D4s with managed charging.

Bond MF338 from Ritta fitted this morning, sadly not before I killed my battery charger and blew the power circuit some time over night

Other half not aware it was me who melted the icecream yet

Jason, Owen, Craig and crew at Ritta found my intermittent suspension fault last week. It was my LLAMs loom One slightly loose wire)

One loose wire to be fixed in the loom by a nice auto sparky in Blackburn. Chris is good with Landrovers Very glad to have found the issue.

    LLAMS

A very nice and helpful vendor offered to send me another Loom for my LLAMS. Thanks Graeme!

Given I have drowned and bashed my car over mountains and valleys several times, Onnadata and other long drives several time with 150,000+ km traveled before this wire came loose I am not blaming the Loom from my LLAMS.

I am very happy it was located as now it can be fixed. I would feel bad taking a new loom off Graeme but do appreciate the offer this time and the prior help he gave me before when I first put it on several years ago

Did I mention how often LLAMS helped me over or through things which would have stopped me before?

I should also mention how much more trouble I had with suspension faults prior installing lams and before LED brake light globes and brake switch.

If its one of the original looms that has one connector's pins a little short then I'll happily replace it if its loosing contact, regardless of its life. Early/suspect looms are easily identified with 5 wires from each half going to the module connector whereas the improved looms have 4 and 6 wires. If its a current loom then I'd like to know what's gone wrong.

    Update: Its an early loom.
