Stereo replacement

Hi all
Im wanting to replace the stereo in my 08 discovery and i have heard that you have to leave the standard on in it.

If i remove it what does it actually effect?

Im sorry if this has been addressed before but i couldn't find it.

If you have a single CD player - you can upgrade the head unit. Note that you will lose the time on the dash, but gain one on the new head unit.

Thanks for that info.

It has the 6 cd stacker in dash, so do i still loose the time or does this make it worse?

Sorry, but you can't replace the head unit in the 6 CD stacker models, as it is hooked into the canbus.
