    Foxtel V8 Supercars.

When I heard that V8s were no longer going to be FTA TV, I was not happy, I said there was no way I was going to pay. But six months later, 1 hour highlights was just not doing it for me.
So, I rearranged my Telstra "Package", got rid of a few things I didn't need, which reduced my existing cost & signed up for Foxtel Sport @ $25 p/m., but with reducing my 200GB to 100GB, the net cost to me was an increase of only $5 p/m with free equipment & installation!!...Not often ya can get a bargain these days.
Am I happy?,...ABSOLUTELY!!!.....far better coverage than I've ever seen on FTA,.....really top stuff. THREE DAYS of coverage from Townsville, V8 S/C stuff during the week,...awesome.
Of course, these comments will only interest those who like their V8 S/C, so if ya don't like 'em don't waste ya time posting here,...although I guess a few won't be able to help themselves with some derogatory stuff?...Wait & See?
Anyway, if ya DO like V8S/C, & ya'd like to see more, then just give Foxtel a thought,.....it took me six months, but I'm glad I made the move.
Quote of the day today from Roland Dane, who was being interviewed by Rhianna (spelling?) about the brace on Craig Lowndes' right wrist & whether it affected his driving?..all Roland said, which caused Rhianna to smile vigorously, & I quote,"Craig's been up to a bit of No Good with his right hand"!!

I've no interest in motor racing but am interested in reducing my internet/pay TV/telephone cost.

Internet and phone are with Optus on cable and Foxtel is with Teslstra on satellite (I changed from Optus cable for Foxtel as they said they were dropping it - but they didn't- and, at the time, I couldn't get an IQ2 box with Optus).

    I say stuff them.

It's not the money at all,it's the fact they have gone this way and expected everyone to suddenly pay for it all.

There wasn't to much of the V8's i didn't watch, but now i just do without.

I just got my Foxtel installed yesterday, just in time.
Had the pleasure of getting the lounge fire blazing after freezing cold day at work and watching the V8 taxi and ute practice sessions for the day I recorded. Was really impressed that the 30 min sessions were all commercial free, interesting to see what qualifying and race coverage brings.
I spilt my drink when Roland Dane sugested Lowndes was ******* too much.
Back enjoying taxi racing, and the Fords are still going well

I too made the same decision.
After Pickles other post on getting Foxtel I investigated a deal as we now have NBN available.Ended up with increasing the 50GB to 100GB with the faster NBN service and Foxtel for $20 a month more than we are already paying.Plus the deal is a better deal with free local/interstate calles and a capped $2 call to mobiles.

I'm kinda leaning over the fence at the moment, most likely will subscribe but still to commit.... I have few spare dollars these days after giving up smoking finally so may bite the bullet. Still think channel 10 and foxtell duped us all with the way it had been promoted but that's my opinion

X2. I feel duped too. Live coverage they said.. Not live coverage when they feel like it. Cant afford foxtel. Would also like to watch nascar too.

    Rant over for now.....

Have had similar thoughts about signing up for F1 coverage. Am a rusted on fan, and missing so many races is killing me.

I don't miss the channel 10 hacks rattling on about aussie drivers only though.

When 10 took over they said they were only providing some live coverage from 6 events

I watched the best coverage Ive ever seen today, they show all the events from the day,all live, and no adds during the events, only had a few adds between races.
As there are no adds, they have more time to show inside the pits and interview team owners/engineers etc.
    MOST IMPRESSED.
Oh,and didnt the Fords go well today
