I would try looking in the LHR storage compartment for the wiring that connects to the trailer circuit, details of which are in the sticky thread D4 Electric Trailer Brakes.

The owner before me had a Electronic Brake Controller fitted and just cut the wires when taking out the EBC.
The wiring is two separate runs of double core auto cable (black sheath, 1 red and 1 black wire)
I can identify the +ve at the back as it has the 20Amp fuse on it, and I think it is a safe bet that that is the red cable at the front that has been cut shorter than the rest and taped up. From that I can identify the ground wire. If I am luck they are from the same co-ax.
My problem then is how to identify which terminal on the EBC I attach the other wires to?

that end is OK. It is the other end with the cut wires that is a mystery .

						If you don't have a multimeter or voltmeter then just hook-up a globe to 1 wire and earth then press the brake pedal to see if the globe lights. If it does then that's the brake light feed but if not then try the other one.

Seeing you have a D3 (in Signature) disregard the D4 write up & search for the D3 one.
It has specific pic of what needs to be done & a correct write up of what is required.

I did some exploring and have a slightly different set up. I have the rear air-con and there is not much room. I guess that is why the installer did it differently.
Most of the set-up is as described in the sticky with a slight difference. The installer put the Blue controller wire all the way through to the the brown wire in the rear light compartment.
They also brought a wire from the black wire in the rear light compartment back through to a purple wire in the fuse box (the next one down from the EBC splice). I've no idea what it does but it does have an inline fuse so it must be all right. :/
There is no diode anywhere to be seen. Can I attach the diode near the ebc as I will have more room?
