    a tank

"In the ongoing Syrian Civil War, rebels have developed their own tank, [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODbKLnApKrY"]Sham II.[/ame]
The tank is fitted with five video cameras and uses a PlayStation controller to
operate the machine gun. (Pictured) Sham II of the Al-Ansar brigade in action in Bishqatin, Syria."

    Well the name fits...Sham

I give it 2 seconds against a real tank...or depleted uranium round from any source beyond the range of that rust bucket.

there are no real tanks on the ground in Syria

Agree no tank battles. RPG or even a 50cal might make mince meat of a Sham.

The Shams playstation controlled weapons systems is ingenious.

500 reasons to not be in a tank in Syria

Saudi Arabia just replenished Syrian rebels with one of the most effective weapons against the Assad regime | Business Insider

"That's no fewer than 1,800 T-55, T-62 and T-72 tanks plus BMP fighting vehicles exploded, burned, disabled or seized by rebels"

    How- TOW

Still think even a humble 7.62 SLR might trouble the Sham at a better cost given a TOW might be $58,908

T34 2" to 5" in thickness armour Sham 1/4 inch steel (or less?)

The maker/designer of the Sham 11 Mahmud Abud of the Al-Ansar rebel brigade thinks it would stand up to "23 mm cannon fire"

A 1/2 inch steel plate at 350 metres at LIttle River Rifle range looked like swiss cheese from admittedly a lot of shots. Not at all sure I would like to be driving Sham into 23mm fire Down the free way behind my bike could be cool

    Given my choice of
    • The nature of the Ammunition
    • The chucking device
    • the engagement area

Id happily brass up against that thing with as small as 5.56.

hell, with sufficient lack of caffine, on a bad enough day with a big enough head of angry up in a tight enough urban environment if it was unsupported Id have a go at making that things crew very unhappy with a 9mm pistol.

as to what it would survive against, thats a typo, the decimal is one digit too far right.

You realise I was joking,I've shot cast alloy bullets through 1/2 plate with one of my 303's at 100mtrs so you wouldn't catch me in that thing. Pat
