Comprehensive insurance

Hi, I have just bought a Perentie. I have looked at insurance companies, the only ones which seem to be willing to insure it are just cars and shannons (whom I did not talk to because I was cut off prematurely). Has anybody any other recommendations? Neither of these seem to have exceptional reviews, I am leaning towards Just cars if that's all that is available. I am in SA.

I use Shannons for all my classics - they do agreed value, you get first right of refusal on the wreck if it's written off and their rates are quite good. They are very easy to deal with.

same for me, I have 12 cars with Shannons - wouldn't go anywhere else, once you get to 10 you become a Platinum member and get better rates - something to aim for!

OK thanks everyone. But what are they like when you make a claim? I am currently having real issues with my income protection insurance not paying up (look at commcare) and consequently am looking at that aspect pretty closely...

Shannons here too. Haven't had a claim except for windscreen glass and that was easy.

I haven't had to claim either, but I know someone that has had to and said they paid up without issue. But I know second hand info like this isn't the best. I'm always a bit sceptical of a sentence that begins 'A friend of a friend of mine said...'
