Fuel dripping after filling up

After filling up today I noticed a steady drip of fuel from somewhere close to the mouth of the refill pipe, but under the body. It continued while I was parked at the petrol station but seemed to have stopped by the time I got home.

Anybody else had this? If so, appreciate a heads up.

Check the smaller of the two hose between the filler neck and the tank.
I've read of some of these hoses cracking/rubbing.

Did you over fill it i.e. beyond the 1st click? I had an issue with mine once when I filled it to the brim - and it came out the breather pipe.

I also had an issue where the cable ties holding the breather pipe to the filler pipe had snapped and it was floating in the breeze - and was actually lower than the top of the tank - so when I filled it up it essentially overflowed due to the position of the breather pipe

I think the breather pipe (and fillier pipe) are in direct fire of the rear wheel - needs some protection IMHO.

I think I stopped when I heard the click, or a click. I hold the nozzle on half throttle and pay attention after having Diesel splash out everywhere the first time I filled up.

Will take a look and see what I can see.

Your breather hose may have a kink in it. Mine is being replaced under warranty. They are going to heave to remove the tank to do it. But yes I have freaked out a few petrol station attendants and on nrma guy who wasn't surprised.

It could be the valve on the breather hose letting the fuel out so this will mean a new breather hose as has been suggested.
If you extend your breather hose up to the bulkhead this will stop the leak if it is the valve. I extended the breather hose on the 2008 Puma up to the bulkhead.
On the 2011 Puma I didn't extend the breather hose and I can fill it to the brim with no leakages. This shows that the valve on the breather hose is working.
Like other posters have said it could be cracks in the hose either way it'll need changed, but if it was just the valve you could cure the problem by adding an extension to the breather hose and running it along the chassis rail and up to the bulkhead.
