    Angry Ooops Rear bar crunched

    G'day all,
unfortunately as my wife was leaving work tonight she manged to gouge a hole in the rear bar of the D4, was not in the painted section but in the gray/black lower part.

looks terrible need it sorted asap where would be a good place to look for a replacement ? spent the last 3 hours on gumtree, ebay and google but have found nothing.

I would like to upgrade to a steel bar but they want drug money for them any one have any other solutions ?

    Fix it????????

It was a while back and the name of the website escapes me....sign of age I guess........but depending on the amount of damage it maybe able to be repaired. Plastic welding or some such is what I think it is called....good luck with that!

Contact your local ARB. If they fitted a Kaymar recently they'll likely have one.

I have the rear bar that came off mine when I put on the Kaymar. We can work something out if you want it.

Q-Bond is the stuff for plastic or steel repairs. No special rods required for different types of plastics. Can be filed, ground, drilled, sanded & painted seven seconds after applying - great stuff for universal plastic repairs.

There is a special spray pack paint called Bumper Black, available from all/most auto accessory shops.
