    Replacing D3 TR module/panel

Does anyone know if the Terrain Response panel in a D3 can be swapped with one from another vehicle without having to use diagnostics to program it to the vehicle? The raise/lower switch is broken.

According to another forum, it is just a matter of plugging in the connectors and away you go (about 1 hours work they say). Apparently it is common for people to leave their sunroof open, allowing rain to destroy the TR panel.

It transpires that the switch is not broken but that the panel got rained on via the sunroof and now the lower function doesn't work.

Thanks Peter. I've sent the D3 owner the link.

Amazing timing! That Disco3 thread is from 3 days ago.

And just for reference relating to Graeme's original question on another linked Disco3 thread, the following comment from someone:
"Local dealer said you can't buy secondhand as the board is VIN locked so would show up errors"

Not confirmation but would warrant further investigation if the board was the problem.

And then this thread on another board states otherwise

Edit - Sorry, not really - just stated he bought a brand new one and fitted it with no issues

Well that is actual feedback from someone who's done the job so probably more reliable than the Disco3 comment.
I think we've got all bases covered now
