    General Grabbers AT2 tyres

Has anyone used these on their D4. What are your thoughts please.

2015 D4 probably the most amazing yet, why get a RR?

    I had them on my MY12 D4.

Good tyre with good on & off road performance in both wet & dry conditions.

There was one problem in that they developed a sort of harmonic whine at about 30,000km.

    Had them in 255 55 19.
    Cheers

    Hi,

No experience in 19's but I had them in 18's on my D3 and got just short of 100k out of them - mostly highway but some sand and not too hardcore 4WDing.

Definitely a contender when the OEM rubbish on my MY14D4 wear out (probably at around 40k like last time...).

    Cheers,

I have 255/60/18 AT2's on my D3. I have been very pleased with there performance both on and offroad, road noise and handling in wet & dry.
Tyres have come to end of life at 42000km of which 5000k has been on dirt / gravel tracks while towing. I would say both my wife and I are reasonably aggressive drivers but am still a little surprised I am now looking for new tyres after only 2 years!

I am considering going up to a more common size say 265 or 285/60/18 as fitted to Toyotas and am interested if anybody has recommendations with kms achieved.

We are going out to Birdsville and across the Simpson later in the year so are looking for a AT that will hopefully last a bit longer this time.

Had GGs on my D3 in 18s. Pretty good off road and fine on road. They are not a MT. I would happily consider them again. Mine lasted about 80000km. One blown while rock hopping- probably my fault. One blew on a metal post on the road at about mid night- not my fault.

Hi all - long time lurker and recently returned to LR fold with a 2014 D4, after owning a Freelander and D1 a few years ago.

Been following along the tyre threads with some interest and am a bit confused - are GG AT2s even available on 19" rims? My search of the General website could not find any AT2s in this size, just the basic ATs.

I also saw another 10 page thread on 19" AT2s from a while back, so maybe I'm missing something?

Interested to know because my recently acquired Disco needs new tyres, and I'm not sure I'm ready to spring for the 18" rims just yet.
