    Crank motor without starting

    G'day,

I need to kick the motor over to build oil pressure before it starts. I'm sure there's a fuse I can pull for the injectors but not sure which one. Or is there an easy to reach plug for the injectors? Either way, or other, I need to get the oil going through the motor before starting.

    It's a 2011 SD4

    Cheers

Sounds like you need a set of bearings and a new oil pump.
Check on the back end or side of the injector pump and see if there is a solenoid with a wire going to it, I have no idea what you're motor is or looks like, but most diesel engines that are key start have a solenoid on the injector pump to cut fuel to stop the engine and allow fuel when starting, if present disconnect the wire, Regards Frank.

A very non vehicle specific way of turning a motor over without starting is to disconnect the starter motor switching wire, then temporarily hot wire it to the battery with the ignition switched off.
