Oil leak, should I be concerned

Having a crawl under my 110 this morning, noticed a leak. Should I be concerned or just think "its a defender"? Its a 2013 and under warranty btw

Get it fixed under warranty. That what warranty is for. Fix now worry later.

I guess the dealer is not going to like me.

I already have a new roof on the way, they are hunting for a squeal coming from the rear between 60-80kph, and have asked them to look at a leak from rear of front diff. Will add this one to the list....

    Cheers

    Hi Simon,

I had a squeal type noise around 80km/h. I believe it was the exhaust heat shield vibrating or similar causing the noise. I'm sure it's a common problem.

others can explain it better I'm sure

    Cheers

Thank you, will ask them about that. First they said brakes and changed pads and disks at my cost but did not cure. They have agreed to refund me.

They said not the diff as they said it would squeal at all speeds.

    Cheers

I'm guessing that's either intermediate shaft o-ring or input shaft seal leak or both. Get it done under warranty as will be TC out to fix either properly.

Sounds like on the plus side then I can get the adaptor shaft checked if the tc has to come out.

    Will pursue the warranty fix

    Cheers all
