						G'day all,
I've recently got a coil sprung D3. Goes moderately well offroad but scrapes a bit more than I like.. Has anyone heard if there are any ongoing problems if I was to get it lifted by say 2"/50mm?
Also has anyone here had it done, how does it affect on road handling as well as wear on CVs etc?
Regards

I have an 05 S Coiler - mainly used for touring and farm work. Had 2" lift done about 7 years ago. Apart from increased access height I have no problems with it. Had to replace control arms recently but that is down to normal wear and tear. Love this car!
The beauty of the spring lift is being able to fit bigger tyres and not have to worry about dropping down to the bump stops, this combined with that most coilers have 17" or 18" improves your options.
Cheers

I've got 17s on mine, what size tyres can I fit? Any recommendations - mostly onroad with some touring and hopefully some good trips too - think Simpson desert or Kimberley's.
Where you're talking a good AT..
Goodyear Duratrac
Bridgestone D697
Would be my 2 prime choices.

Supporterhaving owned both D3's one lifted one std susp, mad not to do the lift, coils in std susp have very little clearance for a 4wd. love the raised height and underbody clearance. my std coiler came with 18 inch wheels still fell short of clearance my lifted coiler with 17 inch wheels has much more clearance as a comparison.
