    2015 D4 black grille

    Hi all,
I am just being ridiculous I know.
    But...
I have ordered GOE 18s in black, just received black centre caps and black wheel nuts to go with the black D4. I can get black badges and air vents ( even though I only need one cos I have a black snorkel) for a reasonable price online. Today I booked in for tinting.
Does anybody know where to get a black grille? There are plenty on offer for pre facelift models (up to 2013), but with copious searching I have not been able to find anything for 2014 on.
    Cheers
    Mike

    Thanks Andrew,
I am considering that. But it is also a new can of worms, best type of paint, application method etc
    Cheers

Plastidip - that way you can restore it to factory if you want.

    How about this?

Search LR4 (rather than Discovery) on ebay

Black Front Grille Honey Comb Mesh Grill FOR Land Rover Discovery LR4 2014 16 | eBay

    Bit pricey though!

I did that as mine had stone damage so it was silver with big black marks on it, so used some plastidip 1469179842262.jpg

    Thanks all,
Certainly looks like Plastidip is the way to go.
I am thinking of getting an aerosol can for the grille and left side air vent. Anybody used one and also number of coats needed and drying time?
    Thanks

1 can is plenty, I did mine in 1 go as plastidip self levels to a degree - it doesn't orange peel like paint, just watch out for runs.
The thicker the plastidip the easier it is to remove in 1 go when you decide to remove it.
I did my spare motorbike tank with 2 coats and found I got a better result doing the grille with 1 coat as the solvent will dissolve the first coat easily.
Drying time, I left it a couple hours before refitting, it was still soft though - can says 4 hours.

I also used clear plastidip on the leading face of the rear wheel arch flares to stop paint damage from stones etc.

That stuff is absolute **** and looks it too...

Paint it properly or go get it HydroDipped.
