    Isuzu mounts.

Just wondering if anybody has some photos handy showing the 4BD1 engine mount configuration on the chassis of a 110.

I've looked at relocating the ones from my Stage1 but they look pretty agricultural and they seem to sit very close to the steering box, also I'd like to check the height on the chassis.

A quick look at a 110 setup will save me doing a lot of measuring etc if I'm barking up the wrong tree.

    Cheers

    Hi 4bdi
Are you close to Southern Landrover??????
The last 3 times I was in there there were Army 110's getting work done.
Have a chat with George Little in the showroom,he seems quite an aproachable sort of chap,if he isnt busy Im sure he would take you for a "look out back",he loves his Landies.
P.S ARE YOU GOING TO THE 4X4 SWAPMEET ON SUNDAY???????? We are having a bit of a meet up there.

    Thanks for the tip Andrew.
Me thinks I'll take a trip to Southern for a bit of a look.

If I'm not working (fingers crossed) I'll head down to the swapmeet.
I see you guys are heading down around 10, so I'll make a point of rolling up around then.
Just so you recognise me, I'll be the one with bleeding knuckels and filthy fingernails.

Well, I went down to Southerns, no joy.
They had no military vehicles in.
Had a look at the old micofish but couldn't make anything out.

Went to Barbagalos, they had a mil 110. but it was a Td5.
It was parked outside so I had a look over it anyway.
Looked pretty much like an accesorised factory hardtop, but still sweet.

I'll keep looking around, but again if somebody has some chassis photos please post.

I know I can fab up some mounts, but something thast looks as close to original as posible would be nice.

I have a few pics of 4BD1 engine mounts from when I did the conversion into my ex v8 county. They are not great pics but you can have them and see if they are any good to you. The RHS one is very very close to the steering box as I recall. Mounts are quite agricultural, I cut them out of the donor vehicle for my car seemed to work OK.

Not sure how to post them on here but if you send me your email address can send them to you that way

    cheers

    Hi Ken
Hope we BUMP into one another on sunday 8) 8).
A military 110 with TD5 VERY INTERESTING,I thought they were all Isuzu diesels.
Last thing you want when you are out hunting Binladen and his mates out the back of afghanistan is a dicky electronic motor 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O
I wonder if it was some sort of evaluation vehicle???????Ive looked at a few at Southern Landrover,a couple looked very new and they were all Isuzu diesels.

    Hi Andrew.

Can't remeber where I got these photos from, (might have been this site),
but it looked the same as this one. ( even down to the missing door on the side locker)

Really noticable, apart from the military accessories, is the side windows are much biger than we are used to seeing on a hardtop.

I noticed the floor on the passenger area had a sign along the lines of 'not a hose down area', so I guess there's no special waterproofing.

Hope to see you Sunday.

    Cheers
    Ken
