Side Awning

Looking at fitting a 2.5m awning but with out roof racks as i have to keep the height down. Was thinking of a length of flat sitting in rubber in the gutter with braces up and across onto the roof bars at the front, but how to support the back? Any else done this and have pic's?

I later shortened the bars so the awning sits much closer to the legs.

The top of the bars are under 2m. I have SLS, no lift, and my tires give me an extra 20mm height. Car parks not a problem.

I normally have a Rhino tray up there which adds another 130mm. 2130mm give or take.

I had the same issue with my carport clearance.
I brought the factory extended rails and added 4 rola roof racks across. with the 4x fixings and awning doesn't move.
