    Autoglym Polish question.

I'm giving Debs Territory some love tomorrow. It hasn't been driven for at least 5 months
Had to put a new battery in it today.
Anyhow, the clearcoat on the top panels is very ordinary. All falcons seem to suffer from it.My Bro says just use a good polish,it comes good. The clearcoat isn't peeling, just dull,I don't really want to get it machine polished unless nessesary as there is nobody in town that does it.
A few pics, see the plastic trims aren't effected. Is the Autoglym worth trying or just a waste on a ****box falcon

I do have some Mequires stuff for fine scratches I used on the D2,it may be out of date(separated),Ive also got claybar product and that fancy paint protector I haven't used on the D4 yet.
Thoughts??? Unfortunately this one lives out in the sun.
Brian/Russ/Scott,you blokes seem to be the masters of shine
    Thanks

I would definitely try the Autoglym polish on it, doesn't look too far gone at all.
But if that's not enough you can move on to clay bar that worked wonders for Russ and keep the polish for the D4.

    Cheers,
    Scott

Yep clay bars usually first but i'd just skip it too and use the Auto Glym Super Resin.

That paint protector should last a while if you use a tiny bit Andy. Maybe just do the most prone to peeling spots... Bonnet, Roof.... In case you want to flog it off...

I've been attempting to bring back the life on my recently brought falcon. Paint looks very similar to you territory Andy. I've attempted to use meguirs polish (what I could get readily here) but I think it needs something more agresive I've as it hasn't done much. Let's us know how you go with it

I had the same problem on mine when i got it, had spots of surface rust on the roof too from something, Meguires did nothing, Auto Glym Super Resin got rid of 90% of it, by hand...

My work van was like that as well, been in the sun for a good few yrs.

i used Autoglym polish, came up well, but six to eight months later it was looking tired again.Probably the **** toyota paint

If yours isn't being used, maybe a car cover may help.

I would try clay bar on the worst section. Then maybe try Autoglym paint renovator. Our two cars live outside. I've been using chemical guys quick detailer to maintain the paint. It's been very good IMHO. I don't wash the cars just use this stuff. Takes about 25 - 30 min for both cars once a week. It's now part of my sat morning routine.
