    Defender Seatbelts

Anyone know if any aftermarket inertia reel seat belts are available for a Defender TD5 2000? Maybe Klippan or similar and if so the product numbers. Mine is getting a bit frayed from getting jammed in the door latch and with Repco having 30% off for RAC members this weekend may be worth taking advantage of.

Check out ebay seller..redss101. He sells seatbelts for holdens and its what i fitted to my s3 drivers side. I cant remember the number but it fitted great. I bought the one with the longer solid stalk coz im a fat bastard but its up to you what or if you buy anything.

    Rod,
I see you have overcome the Holden belt being shorter by relocating it higher up, Could you post up a pic of the bracing behind ?

Hi Deejay, thats the standard mounting place for s3 inertia reel. All i did was unbolt what was there and bolt in the new belt. I do have a pic of the brace. Its just an aluminium plate spot welded behind the tub. The plate is the same thickness as the rest of the tub, so its basicly double thickness where the reel part is bolted on and fixed with a bolt and nut and of course washers.
I hope this clears it up a bit for you.

Ps you need to get the seatbelt to suit a sedan with bucket seats so u get the hard stalk. The stalk comes in different lengths. I got the longer one at 45cm but i have commodore buckets fitted to my s3.

They have the extra point on them coz they r mounted so far back. If u have a good look u can see the extra mount point. The stalks are right tho. I will go see him coz i used to work for him and get the right part number or the listing number.

Ok the number is K1513 to suit hq sedan with bucket seats. This has a 400mm stalk. Its an almost perfect fit in the s3. Not sure where the reel bolts onto a defender.
