SupporterI recently installed a KLR turbo into my Perentie. I have noticed the top radiator hose being flattened, as per the photo. I have posted this onto the facebook page, and the feedback was 'replace thermostat, replace hose, replace radiator cap'. When I open the radiator cap the pressure releases and the hose goes back to normal.
I have ordered a new thermostat, already have a replacement hose, and the radiator cap was bought last Jun.
Any further thoughts as to why this is happening.
Cheers
Paul

SupporterThat hose is collapsing - not being pressurised.
If it goes back to normal when you release the radiator cap then the cap is stuffed (the negative relief valve in it isn't working).

Does the hose only collapse like that as the engine cools and everything else runs like normal? If so I reckon Steve is on the money for sure. As the system cools its creating a vacuum. The good news is your cooling system is air tight!
