    Alternator

The alternator on my Rangie (88 model engine) has carked it. My options now are, buy a new one, reco my old one OR fit a Holden commodor as I have been told these will fit. The last option appeals to me the most because, one, being just after Christmas a bloke is sort of broke and two, I need it by this weekend for a trip up to Mt dissapointment(there goes the reco. option) So, my question is, do any of you gurus out there run a Commodor alternator or have any info that is a better option.

    Regards

    Chris

Replace it with a bosch one, take it to your nearest auto elec and ask what would be a good replacement, i have read that a sigma/ magna alt will bolt straight on but you might as well get increased output if your are replacing.
