    Auto Question

    Hi All
    Thinking of replacing the manual box in the rangie with an auto would this be a hard conversion and what would i need to do.

    depending on age, it shouldn't be a problem if a newer model then the ZF auto would be the way to go as it bolts straight in. If it is an older model the Chrysler Torqueflyte 727 was used - as it is an old box it might be a bit hard to come by.

    Probably the best bet would be to talk to someone at Rangie Spares or Triumph Rover Spares to see what they think (or a company like them)

    Having said that there is quite a lot involved with changing from a manual to an auto so before you make any desisions talk to a professional as it will save you time money and heart ache if you do.
