Has anyone seen one of these in the back of a Disco 3?

Spotted this mesh holder today in the back of a wreck and was wondering if anyone knows where it might come from? Land Rover??
Any idea on a part number???

It is a factory option for that side trim. Don't know part number.
I think it may have been for certain lower spec models, perhaps even the 5-seater but that's a guess.

    Cheers,

AFAIK it's only useable if you don't have rear air. That's a grille for ventilation if rear air is fitted.

I've got rear air and that spot's covered by a grille so you are probably right. The rear air fan is located on that side in the access port behind this spot. I have a similar recess on the other side too but the shape is reversed and larger. I believe that I've seen a previous post with a net over the RHS one.

    Thank you.
This will sound stupid, but now I know I have rear air!!!!!!
Yes, I've got the grill on the pass side and the recess on the driver side.
Strangely enough, coming back from Sydney, I "discovered" the tow bar attachment in the rear compartment (that was after giving the selling dealer some stick about it missing!).
When I found the towbar, I did wonder what the contraption was next to it, and now I know.
Doubt it will ever get used, but who knows.

    Hi

You should also have a control panel for rear air on the roof behind the front row seats. Also you can control whether the rear air is on from the drivers seat. There is a button around sort of part of the air con dial at about 7 o'clock that you can select rear air off, same as front or rear passenger select.
