Hi,
We have a Landrover Disco 3 MY09 SE, no Bluetooth. We would like to install a reversing camera, sat nav and Bluetooth so purchased a Kenwood multimedia unit with the ability to link in DVD screens later if need be. The auto elec tried to install but discovered, due to the digital amplifier under the seat, that this needs to be bypassed. This would cost at least $600 to install due to the complexity of the existing amplifier! The Kenwood unit cost $800 plus camera, plus fascia (purchased from England) etc. All too hard! I then thought the Parrot Asteroid tablet OR asteroid hard wired was the way to go but after speaking to installers, it's not an option due to the number of speakers and the digital amplifier. Way too difficult to install. I was then told there's not many Bluetooth options open to us for a Landrover Discovery 3 SE.
Nothing seems to be straight forward with this vehicle so far. HAs anyone does anything similar in a 2009 Discovery 3 SE? I think I may need to forget about installing any sort of multi media unit but now I can't seem to even find a standard Bluetooth kit to fit.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Thank you! I will give him a call.
Do you have the hi line radio (it has a numpad for its limited phone ability) or the base model cd-400?
You can swap out the cd-400, but the hiline system is integrated with a bunch of other stuff. If you have the hiline you're best bet is installing a separate system (in say the cubby hole above the radio) and using the existing auxilary connection to the head unit for sound.
Place in Dandenong could do it for you - did it for me with no problems. They can also do cameras and a lot more. Very helpful and have a lot of options. Mine is great apart from the rotten school zoning set at 24/7 which mutes the radio. Mine has DAB radio which is really city centric of course.

I came across a company in Baulkam Hills in Sydney that upgrades factory Media Installations in Jaguars and Land Rovers that appear to be the answer to many of our upgrade problems.
As I only found this company yesterday, I haven't contacted them yet, but there Facebook site certainly covers this area.
Facebook name is (Old Jaguar Australia )
I wish they were in Brisbane, would love to get blue tooth phone and iPhone streaming put in to my 2007 D3. I have HiICE and Sat Nav and not looking to change either of those.
