LRA, can you reach out them in any channels?

I often heard some members received marketing information about the new products, but did anyone can reach its head office apart from the dealers?

i bought my D4 due to LR TV ADs about the capable 4x4 and I watched discovery at camel trophy ages ago. I love my D4 and keep upgrade the gear to get it ready for the tour. However, I didn't have good experience with LR Experience at the beginning, they refused my request to join their experience tour as I didn't have the information early enough.

I still love my D4. The deilma is that I already had 3 faulty parts in last two years and caused I almost abandoned the trip. 1st, I had faulty compressor after boarder track in SA; on the tow truck back. 2nd, disk brake and hand brake fault after 12 days trip to Fraser Island; had to drive back Melbourne after Fraser. the disc brake was just replaced before the trip. Now, a diesel turbo failure again after two days of GOE training in Rawson, VIC. They are average offroad trip as I don't want to push to the limits. However, it seems that I already reached the limit. I had to turned back from the Labor Day weekend camping trip as engine light on, restricted performance followed. Sometimes the dealer mentioned it could relate to my off-road trip, but aren't they built for purpose despite 95% of driving around the city or pick up the kids.

it might be a bit bad luck as many D4 had done a lot more difficult trips to Simpson or cape York. I still haven't give up the hope, adding up the long range tank, spare wheel carrier and GOE Wheel waiting for August delivery. Some members of forum recommend me to contact LRA regarding the issues I have, but I wrote to their customer service by email or to the marketing through social media even in UK. However, no one even reply. I am sure they are like many other big corporations keen to receive the compliments than complaints. I still love my D4 but disappointing at LRA.

I HELP THEY can hear from this forum as we are the community to extend LR legacy.

It can be frustrating Gary, I know this from experience with my Defender. I just had to keep at them, and fortunately for me, I had mechanical experience and was able to push a few of the right buttons,,, but still had to finish the job at my expense due to their incompetence.

    On your repairs:

The pump failed - was it protected?

The brake failure - yet you had disks replaced just before your trip - perhaps the dealer did not do the job properly? Severe tracks can also work Disco brakes heavily - due to using the brakes to stop open diffs spinning wheels when they loose traction.

The turbo failure - evidently a solenoid failed. Perhaps just bad luck there. No damage though it seems to the engine.

Perhaps write a letter to the company secretary - make it registered. List your issues. Good luck - I had no joy with Lexus Australia vis a vis a dishonest dealer.

It's a pity LR don't have a rep on here like they do on the UK FullFatRR forum: fullfatrr.com - Log In

Hmm,you might need to register to access that page.

I was temped to have a puma in my collection, but no more space in my Garage. How do you go with your? I just fitted outback LRT, RWC from OL; it looks good even though spare wheel stay from the back door too much.

    Cheers,
