These came from seriesdefender.com, and I ordered them about 3 months ago to be delivered to a mate in Calif.
I've done a short drive and they don't seem too noisy, but I guess time will tell.

Got back on Thursday from a 10 day visit to California.
When I owned my Wrangler, these tended to be expensive visits due to the amount of "stuff" that I could find and buy.
The D3 makes these trips a little cheaper as there is not as much stuff available off the shelf for the LR3.
But I did score some nice and reasonably inexpensive goodies.
There was the bonnet protector, picked up in a Land Rover dealer for $50
And the front light protectors at another dealer for $40

Then there were a couple of new Dually D2 Pencil beams - I had these on my Wrangler when I sold it and they are quite incredible at how far they punch light out. These will be fitted to an ECB nudge bar that I've just found.

There is a company in the US called Bolt who make all sorts of lockable things that can be keyed to most common manufacturers in the US My Wrangler had various bits on it with Bolt locks like the spare tyre, towbar, and several padlocks. When I sold my Wrangler, I kept one non computerised key so I could still use the various Bolts locks I had acquired. On this trip, I got a towbar lock, and securing cable, which are all keyed to my old Wrangler key. I also picked up 5 small LED lights for $2 each, a brake light for $8 and a hitch light mount for $9.99 - so I am playing with setting up a couple of reverse lights and additional brake light mounted on the tow hitch. My plan is to plug these into the plugs on the towbar.

I found an Oil Spy kit in a small boutique 4x4 shop in Longbeach, so for $20, I thought I'd give it a go for a while. My D3 is petrol, so it seems a pretty easy thing to use to watch the oil.

I'm not sure if I really like this or not, but the irony is that this thing is MADE IN AUSTRALIA for Land Rover international. Nice to think some Australian companies are getting out there.
