2 cables from the battery to the canopy?
I have a 130 HCPU with a hard canopy on the tub.
In the tub there will be a few power connectors at the rear - one cig lighter, one Anderson plug.
In the canopy there will be some lights (these do not need to be switched from the cab).
On the roof rack will be some rear facing lights which DO need to be switched from the cab.
So I think for power I need to pass a big cable from the battery into the tub somewhere to a junction box. Run the various accessories from that junction box WITH a plug (or plugs) between the tub and canopy can be be removed if required.
So that all sounds pretty doable BUT what about the lights on the roof rack which need to be switched from the cab. How/where do I run those cables?
Ideas welcome.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

2 cables from the battery to the canopy?
I built a relay box in the engine bay on top of driver side wheel arch.
Live power from alternator goes into a 80amps circuit breaker and into the relay box (6relays & 6 fuses). Relay control wires goes into cabin (of course) and I used narva trailer cable.
From relay box power goes to the headlamp, roof lights, bull bars etc.
Cable to the roof rack goes via the gap of the bonnet and follows the snorkel

Martin -
In this case the roof rack in question is mounted to the canopy, not the vehicle gutters.
(I will be routing power to the roof bars on the cab likely in the way you describe).

Bad boy 50mm2 cable from battery along port chassis rail to rear hitch
Earth cable from chassis bolt to rear hitch
175A Anderson connects these to the world used for boat winch or jump starting
Doubled off back of 175 is a 50A Anderson for fridge power and solar system below tray
Rear work lights switch on dash, relays under starboard side plastic fake vent in guard
Pos and beg run back along starboard chassis rail and up to tray behind rear bulkhead
Deutch two pin fitting at tray level
Wires up to workmlights
If/when tray needs removal - 4 bolts, 50A Anderson and one deutch fitting and voila
