    Rattle behind drivers seatbelt Puma

With my window down, I hear a rattle which seems to be behind the top seatbelt mount drivers side. i.e. right next to my right ear.
When the windows up, it doesnt rattle as much.

    Whats causing it?

Could be the door lock, some lithium grease on the lock mechanism will stop it for a while. Xtrouser door catches are particularly bad for it as they don't have a plastic sheath on the locking bar.

    I have the same rattle.

I tightened the seatbelt mount, and the rattle went away... and then it returned after a while.

Now I just live with it...

When its rattling, stop, open the door, rotate the little plastic thing on the door catch mounted on the B pillar, shut the door and tell me the rattle stopped. (Yes it will come back soon).

I chased that rattle for the longest time. I swear I thought there was a nut or something loose inside the B pillar. Found some threads on the topic and how it relates to the door catch. Did the little test above. Positive result. So then adjusted the position of that whole metal piece - problem solved.

I've had the same rattle but it's just so intermittent I've given up looking for it. If that's all that ever gives me or the next owner a worry it's not worth worrying about.

Mine rattles on bad roads. I've given up grumbling and just accept it. If someone finds a cure I'm interested.
