				I don't know the model number but I'm pretty sure TerryO from this site tried Bilstein shocks on his D4 and was unimpressed.   This was a while ago so there maybe improvements in Bilstein and other potential options that others tried.   At the time the conclusion was that the OEM was better than all the other contenders for the D4.   Don't know who actually makes the OEM shock and it may not be the case for the D3, as I'm sure they run a different shock to the D4.

 TerryO used Konis and had problems. I tried Bilsteins on my D3. They worked very well until the fronts blew after 8-10K, I had the fronts replaced under warranty and they lasted another 8-10K. The importer replaced those with LR originals.
The rear Bilsteins were fine and still going strong 100K later.
