6x6 jumping out of high range.

Any one got some ideas for me, one of my 6x6s is jumping out of high range.Low range is not affected. I’ve adjusted the linkage up, tightened the tolerance on the selector fork in the transfer case and checked the top end of th TC all appears in good condition.
now I’m leaning towards either the detent springs and balls or the dogs on the high range being worn and not holding? I’ve disconnected the linkage all together to rule out it being linkage related.

I have seen worn dogs before cause this symptom. You'll need to replace the selector sleeve also.

As JC stated above, most likely you need a new hi range gear and possibly the selector gear as well. Detent balls and springs won't be the problem.

Thanks guys for your input, is it a gearbox out job or can you get to it by removing the seat bases and floor?
