I have 265/60/18 Cooper AT3s. I wouldn’t buy them again.
Hi all. I know tyres have been discussed to death..but here goes. Went down to the tyre place to ask Q's re. AT tyres. Was SHOCKED to find out that the difference between 17's & 18's is at least $100 extra a corner. I had heard good reports of the new KO2's so was pricing them up. Best price I have found (265/60 18) was around $410 each (!) Guy recommended Cooper AT3's but even they were $390 each. I have read a lot but there seems to be so many conflicting reports on each & every brand. Is there a good AT tire (LT) closer to the $300 mark that people would recommend ? Even with the offer of buying 5 (as I would like to go a little bigger) prices seemed firm. I have been putting off new tyres but with winter here I need to get things moving on. Sorry to bring the tyre debate into discussion again but would value other members opinions. Thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Yes D697 Dueller - around $325 f&b
You should be able to get the KO2 a bit cheaper than that, keep hunting around or someone in your area may chime in.
FWIW,i wouldn't use anything else, you only get what you pay for.
There are many that run them on here.
rar110 has provided the general consensus on here about coopers

Sounds a bit exxy. I just bought 5 x Maxxis 19” for $310 each fitted & balanced.
That's one reason I went and found some 17" rims. By the time I'd bought wheels, tyres and spent $100 on new wheel nuts I was still $50 in front over buying 4 x 18" tyres.
You could also try Monsta tyres. I have heard good things - the tread pattern looks like a cross between the Bridgestone D697 and the Pirelli Scorpion.
