Diesel leak at filter. Source?

I replaced the diesel fuel filter housing after getting sick of the “water in fuel” false alarm on my 2010 d4. But diesel is slowly leaking from one of the joints. I think it’s one of the quick connect fuel lines but access and visibility is poor.

Is there a trick to get them to re seal?
Or is there a common thing that causes a slow leak after replacing that housing?

I am assuming it's the same type of filter , small round one basically under the drivers seat but underneath the car .

could be the O-ring at the top not seated properly, could be the old one stayed on the nipple when you removed the old filter , they also leak on the bottom oring where the water sensor screws in.

from what I have seen of those quick release fuel fittings is they seem pretty robust and unless you have somehow disturbed 1 I would be surprised if they are leaking .

As said - can also be the water sensor being over tightened and it has cracked.

this is likely - after a service at LR last year - they replaced the fuel filter and - before I made it to far from the dealer ...diesel all over the road and yep service over tightened and lost a tank of fuel ... and mess on the main roads!!! = fire fighters on the job with kitty litter etc, flat be truck and an embarrassed LR dealer service manager... and me. !

Happened to me once too straight after a service. Not as bad as yours though, it just leaked when the engine was running. Still made a hell of a mess and needed a flat bed back to LR.

The so called LR Road Side Assist guy was a complete tool too .... started the car on my driveway, drove it on to his truck spraying diesel everywhere and then repeated same in the courtyard of LR in Fortitude Valley, leaving customers hop-scotching around puddles of diesel.
