    Question Reducing the Service Interval reminder - can it be reduced from 22,000km to 12,000km?

    I couldn't find it in the IID Tool manual, but is there a way to adjust the automatic Service reminder on the dash to a lower value than the 22,000km on our MY14 D4 TDV6? I believe that the service intervals are 12,000km/6 months for 'Rest of World' so thought perhaps I could set mine to that setting?

    If it's not in the manual, you might have to try an email to GAP.

    They advised the following:

    Hello Scott
    You are the first one to request this one thus we do not know the exact process. First, I suggest looking into the complete CCF list;
    -Connect the tool on a computer, do not start the updater software.
    -Using the mobile App, connect on the tool ''In Bootloader''
    -Wait until file loading is completed

    Keep in mind that 80 % of the CCF is not taken into account by the car. Also, do not change safety or critical settings which could cause issues. Use the search box...

    I went past my mechanic on Wed, to check some codes, and on his code reader for my D3 (pro'ly) similar for D4 it has 3 options 24000/12000/Delete, so hopefully you can find that in yours.

    What code reader does he use?

    I haven't had a chance to follow the GAP Diagnostics Tech advise as the tool lives in the cars glovebox and I've forgotten to get it out while the cars been back here.

    IIRC it's an Auto-Logic that can read all sort of cars, judging by the menu I saw over his shoulder.
