    Best D4 Diagnostic Software,

Forgive me if this has been covered many times, but as an iPhone person who’s just bought a 2013 D4, what’s the best monitoring/fault clearing product. For my D2 I use a nanocom, but it’s about $350-$400 to get the D4 licence and the cable.

I’ve been reading about these which come in the iPhone version:

    IIDTool BT - Gap Diagnostic

Thoughts? (Just before someone asks, no I’m not interested in getting an android/Samsung/etc. I’m happy with Apple.

The other thing is, with the nanocom it sits in a mounted RAM mount and gets turned on when I start the car. I’m wondering if I’d be so diligent with a phone version?

Yes it’s been covered many times, why not do a simple search in this section? The Gap iiD BT is very good and used by many D3/D4 owners, myself included, so there’s heaps of threads on it.

There is an Electronic Diagnostic section on AULRO. Maybe look through there.

It’s not quite as easy to search on tapatalk than on a desktop. I always think of these things when I’m on the couch!

The problem with a GAP tool is that it's locked to the VIN. The Nanocom isn't.

Wrong. Both are vin locked I know as I have both. The advantage of the GAP iid is it will clear faults on any Land Rover I have done this recently.
Also look at Blackbox's new ROVACOM-IQ. Smaller and cheaper than the GAP unit.

From what I can work out, the Rovacom is android only. Shame, it looks great.
