    Mirror switch

    We are happy owners of a 05 discovery hse v8 loving the car , have a issue with mirrors , switch only makes them go down no up and left no right tried disabling the auto memory set thingamy but can’t get into settings either , on the stalk push button get to menu go to press the steering wheel buttons to scroll to mirror settings nothing happens ,any ideas , have tried another switch for mirrors still the same attached pic of our disco D791CFBB-2ABD-4AFD-A6AB-1DC95C9BA6A0.jpg

    Might need a soft reset.

    You can do a hard reset by removing both battery clamps and touching them together , soft reset as I just found out is done with a diagnostic tool.

    I believe Land Rover side mirrors have a sad history of failing due to the crap design of the planetary motor drive from the D1 & who knows how far up the range this crappery went?
    Made worse by the physical body contact of passers by squeezing their way past pushing the mirrors & housings out of alignment.

    Would an 05 Discovery have the same poor setup? Did Land Rover learn from the poor & unreliable D1 design?
