    Bellhousing clutch grommet price!

Has anyone else seen the price on the clutch bellhousing grommet for 'up to suffix D' gearboxes??!? $110!!!

Mind blown when I found the usually insane prices of the Land Rover Treasure Shop are actually a bit cheaper, at £23 plus shipping. Still not going to buy one though...

If I ever track one down cheap enough I'll be doing a CAD copy of it and 3D printing them.

    Rivet counters don’t read
I made one out of inner tube and fixed it there with a riveted ring, hole in the tube fits snugly around the clutch actuator rod.
I have also seen same thing done but tube glued to bell housing

what are Craddocks like on delivery to Aus? I just cancelled my first ever order with Paddocks because after a week they still hadn't even picked the order then sent an email saying they didn't have some of the items.

    In rubber ?
Plastic will be a bit difficult to fit....

I did get one a while back, I'd have to check availability and price locally.

Remember the UK has had major issues with Covid and Paddocks have been limiting the number of orders per day, have shut their counter sales and are running on reduced staff.
Just had two orders dispatched quickly, despite some items having to be ordered in. Shipping form the UK was under a week.

I have only ever used Craddocks because they were the only ones who would give me a freight cost , always found them quite good . Complete exhaust system from engine block back for my 80" , ordered Monday & had by Friday,& cost was good. That was about 3 years ago so don't know what they are like these days. Back then they were using TNT , my last delivery went a bit off track was by DHL & they kept subbing it out to flee bitten couriers once it arrived in AU . Think it visited most states before arriving . When I contacted Craddocks they gave me a credit for the freight.

They are ok, not the quickest but seems to take a few days for them to move on orders (to be fair I went into their shop last year in a UK trip and they were no quicker, the customer is certainly not king in that place)

Paddocks can be quick if it is in stock but communications is shocking. Stuff has arrived in Aus before I get an acknowledgment.

Bearmach are the fastest, place an order in the afternoon it’s usual to wake up in the morning to a dispatch email.
