Remove the head and take it to any decent engineering shop for a dye penetrant test. That will show any cracks conclusively.
I have a 2003 110 td5 with 190k on it. At the last service i took 9l of diesely oil from the sump. This happened on a previous truck about 15 years ago too at that time LRNZ did a replacement under warranty so I never got to see the crack. I replaced the Injector orings and washers in January as a first step. The oil continues to rise. I inspected the area closely around #1 pocket with the fuel pump in purge mode with the cam cover removed. I think I saw a teardrop of diesel around the "land" where the injector rests but I am not 100% certain it was diesel, I had new oil in the truck. Sunday past I pulled #1 injector to replace the seal again, in case I had been less than fastidious. I attach 3 images of the pocket with what I am fairly certain is a crack. Before I commit to Bringing an AMC head in from Turners UK I would appreciate anyone with previous experience comments on the images as to whether it is indeed a crack, or if it is a machining mark.

Any and all advice welcome

Have a look for this also. This is mine, you can see the crack and the diesel wash in the spray area. I can see a crack in the bottom of your injector port. When I first checked, the crack in my head was not obvious, but it later became more obvious. This was the 2nd time I pulled the injector.
