Well this was a new problem to me.
Lots of rain here in Bris and D3 has been parked outside.
Went to unlock with fob last night and no dice. None of my three fobs worked.

I tried the passenger door lock, but having never used it, it's gunked up (another thing on the list).

I have two anderson plugs on the rear, one from aux batt, one from crank batt. I thought if energised via the crank anderson plug (eg, low/flat batt), maybe I'll be lucky, and I was, although it started just fine so I doubt the crank was flat!
I thought I'd had a win and went for my drive. Locked it with fob on return and now, this morning, same prob - no unlock!

I suspect the ubiquitous green/white splice, but I'm doubtful given that I've heard mixed results.

I'll try to find the splice today and let y'all know.

Update. How annoying! I've freed up the passenger door lock I think! I've got a quarter turn anti clockwise, but it won't budge clockwise....yet. I'm reticent to use more force.
After battling it for 30 odd minutes I grasped at straws. I have a third old, (likely original) sealed fob that has a flat battery. I inserted it into the passenger lock and hey presto the door unlocked and alarm went off! It appears that the newer cut keys are subtly different, or likely just not as worn. All three will start the car.

For what it's worth, I probably just got lucky with connecting a spare battery, it didn't work today.

So I am now gunna attend to the splice and at the least, eliminate that.
Could it be anything else?

Cheers
Ralph
