Lift with coils on standard shocks??

I have TF standard shocks in my D90 Puma. Winch and bar on front...roof rack...would like a 1" lift but seems hard to find...just seems to sit a little flat and may be my imagination but especially in the rear despite new shocks all round.

Can you put +1/2" coils in with standard height shocks??

But personally I found it better to leave the springs and shocks alone and just put airbags in the rear coils, so our 110 can stay level when loaded and/or towing.
It's a simple solution which avoids any problems caused by lifting. The Defender already has plenty of height, I reckon,

I think my 90 has quite stiff suspension. It was originally a hard top county and I wonder if possibly had stiffer springs. I'm a fan of air bags but it would be over the top and expensive in my wee 90.
