A new noise - on throttle release

My 2013 RRS SDV6 has developed a new noise that is becoming more frequent - when you go off throttle, there is what sounds like a rotating spin down noise. Though I might be imagining the cause. It has been quite subtle but of course, when you hear it - it becomes louder in your mind. There are no performance issues.

I've done a fair bit of googling - I asked my Indy about it in passing and they said the turbos do get noisy. It did sound a bit like a defender we used to have (although much quieter). This assumes it is a turbo.

Car has done 140k. Is this just what I should expect in a car of this vintage or is it about to implode? any ideas welcome.

Very recent wrt service, 10k intervals - will check out the filter condition tomorrow

Air filter looks new.

Though there is a little oil coming out of the front of the driver's side inlet manifold.. which was replaced last year...
