Engine Hoist Platform Lift

Hello All,

I just watched a YouTube clip where Mike Galusha adapts and engine crane so that it can become a lifter. I hold no responsibility if other people want to adopt Mike's design to develop their own lifter. Mike's clip was accessed 20th January 2024 from, Shop Drops - Engine Hoist Platform Lift - YouTube.

I know that there have been situations where something like Mike's adaptation would have been very handy to have for some jobs I have had in my shed.

Okay, a bit more of a search and it looks like other people have made forked versions of the same idea, see...

Hmm ... a 'red neck tow truck' boom that goes on a towbar using an adapted engine hoist! Now that looks interesting too... We Made a Portable (Tow Truck/Crane) From an OLD Engine Hoist - YouTube

That is brilliant.... what a great idea. The forklift attachment I'm not so sure of as the load is so forward of the crane it'll topple if you try and lift anything heavy
