    MITCH HITCH INSTALL

    Hi Everyone,

Have just bought a Mitch Hitch from More 4x4 and am having trouble getting the nylon bush in the eye. I read Scots post about having to grind the eye. What tool and how has everyone done it? Cannot find a tube video anywhere on how to instal for LR4.

    Cheers
    John

    Hi Dale,

So its just a case of enlarging diameter?

The bush with everything in it is pushed in from the right?

    Cheers

Yes - expand the 'hole' to allow for the bush to be pushed into place.

Its more 'deburring' the casting than enlarging

Yes agreed - that's a more accurate description.

    Hi Tombie,

I've deburred the casting but the bush still doesn't fit. I'll have to ring more4x4 about it as its a pain trying to use a dremel to resize the casting.

    Hi Jliquorish,
The casting will be too hard to much more than 'de-burr' it with a dremel.
Hayden in his post above, noted that he didn't have burrs and sanded the bush, so that it would fit.
Have you tried sanding the bush?
