Disco4 help needed: TCCM - Clutch actuator stuck

    Hi
I'm really struggling with this problem. Completely out of ideas.

2014 Disco4. These DTCs come up at ignition ON:

    TCCM: P186D-00 Clutch actuator stuck
TCM: P279D-02 Four wheel drive range signal circuit - general signal failure

I've tested the wiring from TCCM to transfercase, all ok.
I've tried a 2nd hand electric motor (clutch actuator), although both motors work fine when 12v applied on pins 1 and 8
    I've tried a 2nd hand TCCM module
    I've tried a new solenoid
I've tried a new position sensor
There are no metal shavings in transfer case oil.
Performing adaptation of motor, solenoid, or transfer case, they all fail, without any apparent movement of actuator.

    Any ideas welcome.
    Thanks

Did this just pop up or was there work done on the transmission? I wonder if the park selector rod has slipped from its fixing? It's a relatively simple rod and slider set up on the lhs of the gearbox. This translates via the mechatronic inside to which solenoid to actuate. If its moved, the TCM doesn't know which gear to select relative to the required position.

Is this still an issue? If so, what diagnostic tool have you been using?

The transfer case may be stuck between high and low range or with the clutch-pack partly engaged.
