Well i donated the rangy so i'm kinda out of parts now
But did notice Hobie18 has posted up a heap of 2 door rangy parts he has for sale... you out there Guy??? Those sliders could be good
Gents we are on the dig around to do a build up of the above rangie as well as pick on people in the clubs knowledge and help.
We have a 77 Rangie which we are looking at doing up over time but also on the cheap. So we are looking for the following items to start with if you have any old rangie or D1 gear in you yard or shed rusting which we could clean up and use then all donations are greatfully accepted
.
1) 16" rims to either swap for the 15" we have.We have 16" tyres already ! to go straight on - 5 rims if possible?
2) Looking for springs and shocks with possible 2 - 3" lift
3) A mechanical mind who can get the 3.5 V8 to accelerate with both carb's opening. At present runs and idles but is flat when kick down and wont accelerate.
4) Also need two front CV joints.
5) Once we have put springs and shocks in will need to do a guard chop, will also need to trim back the bull bar - old style like me.
Anything else you may have for the rangie we will accept as I'm only just touching on what we know for now.
Thank you all in advance for your help and kind donations.

Hey Josh
Yep I'm out here, thats only the beginning of the parts, Its what I could remember last night. Seeing as I've just spent $on the motor in the red rangie (I was going to do a thread, but I've made posts in others instead - refer to the overheating thread of Offender90) I really need to sell off some unused parts. Pricing is always hard, the prices are probably a bit high but thats what negotiating is all about.
Come and have a look or send me a list of what you need. We have a huge assortment of parts and panels and neither of us drive a 2 door anymore. Although I do still have my previous beast and the donor vehicle if I ever get around to swapping the parts across - but do I need two V8 offroad cars plus the others.
Cheers Guy
Sliders - check
Front CV's - check
Springs - check
next ???
Bolts, I personally would stay with 16" rims. Tyre choices are better and you can get higher without going too bloody wide. Disco steel rims are cheapish these days if you know where to look and the dynamica rims that grimace has on his beast are quite reasnobly priced as well.
The problem with the steel rangie rims are the fact they are only 6 inch wide, wheras you need a 7 inch wide rime for most tyre sizes. You can get 255/85R16's on a 6 inch rim, but you're pushing it
Re- Carbs. I assume you bought a Rangie with stock carbs (twin strombergs). Have a good look at the linkages and accelerator cable, if these are a bit on the sloppy side then they need replacing. Also the diaphrams on the carbs could be buggard, easy replacement (cheap too) although this is unlikely but worth a look. I have a Haynes workshop manual if you want it (have about 4 of the bastards) if that would help you.
Have fun, I'm sure you will.

I have a couple of CV's if required. Maybe one 16inch rim also (not that just one is much good to you)
